Thanks, Betty Crocker!
Easy Brownie Torte
(I made this for our office Christmas party tonight!)
Double your chocolate pleasure with two layers of brownies frosted and topped with candies.
1 package Betty Crocker® chocolate chunk or triple chocolate chunk brownie mix
Water, oil and eggs called for on brownie mix package
1 tub Betty Crocker® Pour & Frost™ chocolate frosting
1/2 cup coarsely chopped chocolate-covered peanut butter cup candies
1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Line 13x9-inch pan with foil so foil extends about 2 inches over sides of pan. Spray foil with cooking spray.
2. Make brownies as directed on package for 13x9-inch pan. Cool completely, about 1 1/2 hours. Remove from pan by lifting foil; peel foil away. Cut brownie in half lengthwise; place one half on serving plate.
3. Microwave frosting as directed on tub; pour half of frosting over half of brownie on plate. Place other half of brownie on top; pour remaining frosting on top. Sprinkle with candies. Refrigerate 30 minutes to set. Store loosely covered.

Mmmmm... Looks delicious. I'll have to try that. One question: why oh why did you have to include the nutrition facts? I'll be thinking "730 calories... 37 grams of fat... 730 calories... 37 grams of fat" with every bite. =) Not that it will stop me from eating it, of course!
p.s. I also loved the "Kill Bill" movies and "Love Actually" (minus that one certain couple)

good grief! I didn't realize just how horrible the nutrition contents are...now I'm kind of glad that I skipped on tasting it at the party last night! (although it did smell and look delish.)

kah-day, i don't think sms was offended! if she isn't already, i'm sure she'll be more than flattered after seeing the movie. :) also, lylab...if you were a girl, you would know this one. it's usually "lylas, love you like a sister," and we all wrote it in notes in the 7th grade. so of course lylab=love you like a brother. :)
and you acquired it because...i do! :)
